Super long-lasting — this insert holds fuel way longer than my old ones.

Had one tiny hiccup — the seal wasn’t quite tight at first, but I adjusted it myself and it was fine. With the cap-in-cap design there’s no difference when lighting, but closing it adds one extra step, so it’s slightly less smooth. Just takes a little getting used to.

This is the best Zippo-style insert I’ve ever used. My old inserts didn’t have that inner cap, so the fuel evaporated fast â this new design is a huge improvement. Mine lives in an outdoor tactical case and the seal is excellent. This one actually has a story: once during a heavy rain outdoors it basically saved us. Everyone’s electric lighters had died, and only this flint one still worked. We tore off a strip of clothing to get a pile of soaked firewood going. That day I really understood what ‘making fire from nothing’ means. Thankfully it all ended well.
